It’s such an archaic and dumb system… it’s still “cheating”. Items you find early in the game can still be useful end game and we need more space to hold that stuff… why should we have to create 10 characters and mule items on to them? Players use median XL / Plugy for a reason…Ī lot of the items in Diablo II are worthwhile to hold on to for certain builds… and the gear changes drastically every 10 to 15 levels of your characters progression where as in DIII items only mattered on level 70. Diablo player and I honestly believe they should just give us as many tabs as we can afford to buy within a limitation. I think they should be setup where you can’t add anything additional to those tabs and should be "reset’ or emptied automatically just before the end of the next ladder season. On a final note regarding “Ladder Stashes”, I think at the end of every ladder season, all applicable stash tabs should be temporarily available to withdraw items onto non-ladder characters.
I don’t think a concept like that would be game breaking since it would share a common concept with another game in the franchise and it would give an incentive to collect and hold onto your gold. I think Blizzard should take the Diablo 3 approach and allow you to buys additional tabs with various gold cost tiers. By the endgame gold looses it’s value and it’s only purpose was for gear repair, merc revives, and buying consumables. In my heyday it wasn’t uncommon for myself to have at least 3+ mule accounts filled with goods that I either held onto for sentimental reasons or was my project gear that I was seeking the right runes, gems, jewels, etc. I believe if you want to solve the “mule” problem that you would have to have additional stash tabs. With that said, I am against increasing a players personal inventory due to conflicts with the added buffs additional charms can provide. I no way, shape, or form believe increasing the stash size is going to harm the balance of the game.
